Susan Graham has been cast as Valerie Tyrell, the female lead, for the reading of the “Trick of the Light” script. The script was chosen for inclusion in the “Green Screen Program – Film & TV Showcase” portion of the Sci-Fest LA.
Susan hails from the sunny city of McAllen, Texas, touted as the “Texas Tropics.” Susan was accepted into the prestigious drama program at Yale University and graduated with honors.
After graduation, Susan developed her chops in off-Broadway productions of “Because of Beth” and “The Metaphysics of Breakfast.” She was also tapped for the Warner Brothers twelve-month theater tour of Scooby in “Stagefright: Live on Stage!”
Moving to Los Angeles, Susan has worked tirelessly writing, producing and starring in projects she helped create. One of these, “Quiet” (2010), is a dramatic short dealing with love and loss. Other credits include the award-winning comedy web pilot, “Natural Hazards,” the Comedy Central web short, “2 Girls 1 Cop” (both of which she co-wrote and co-produced), and Walt Disney Pictures’ “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2.”
Thoughts on the script: I am so excited to be a part of the reading of “Trick of the Light.” The material is very intriguing and thought-provoking, and I’m looking forward to going on Valerie’s journey with the audience.
